Foi divulgada, nesta quarta-feira (14), a lista de indicados para a 23ª edição do Screen Actors Guild Awards, prêmio do Sindicato dos Atores dos Estados Unidos conhecido como SAG Awards. A premiação elege as melhores perfomances em séries, minisséries e filmes do último ano.

Entre os concorrentes estão nomes como Denzel Washington (melhor ator por Fences), Viola Davis (melhor atriz coadjuvante por Fences), Natalie Portman (melhor atriz por Jackie), Meryl Streep (melhor atriz por Florence Foster Jenkins), entre outros. Já entre as séries Stranger things e People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime lideraram as indicações.

A série de sucesso no Brasil, Stranger things (Netflix) teve três indicações. Aos 12 anos a atriz Millie Bobby Brown, que vive a Eleven na trama, vai disputar a categoria melhor atriz em série dramática. Ela concorre com Winona Rider, que faz Joyce na série de suspense. O elenco também concorre na categoria melhor elenco em série dramática.

No cinema, um dos destaques foi o filme Manchester à Beira-Mar, indicado em 4 categorias: melhor elenco, melhor ator para Casey Affleck, melhor atriz coadjuvante para Michelle Williams e melhor ator coadjuvante para Lucas Hedges. O irmão de Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, é o protagonista do longa. Os atores Ryan Gosling e Emma Stone foram indicados nas categorias melhor ator e melhor atriz pelo filme La La Land.

A cerimônia de premiação está marcada para o dia 29 de janeiro de 2017, um domingo, em Hollywood. A atriz Sophia Bush e o ator e rapper Common serão os apresentadores da edição.
